Your Wellness Center is a premier med spa in Cincinnati that I love.

Do the words med spa scare you? Don’t worry – it did me too! I think I had a negative connotation that involved injections and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills style lips. Uhm, no thanks.

Thankfully, the entire team proved that misconception VERY wrong. I wanted to share Your Wellness Center with you, because there are many services they offer that will help you have glowing skin, and have you looking and feeling your best for your wedding day!

They offer services like dermaplaning, which remove dead skin and peach fuzz from your face, making your makeup lay beautifully on your skin. They also offer hydrafacials, which use patented technology to cleanse, extract, and hydrate your skin.

Honestly, I did my first hydrafacial a few weeks ago, and I could not get over how much glow my skin had. I am not a big “selfie” person, but I was feeling my skin after I had it done!

But their services are honestly a small fraction of why I love going to YWC.

I love that this is a family owned and family operated business that makes you feel like you are a part of their family. Linda runs the front desk. She gets up to hug me when I come in, and asks me about my life, and how things are going with total sincerity.

Kaitlyn, Linda’s daughter, is the nurse practitioner who performs many of the services at the spa. I first met Kaitlyn when she hired me to shoot her wedding a couple years ago. Throughout the time of their engagement and on the wedding day, I just fell in love with her and her family.

At first, I didn’t think much about it. I didn’t really know much about med spa’s or the different services they offer. I thought it was just for Botox treatments or lip filler, and I wasn’t interested in that stuff.

You may not know this, but I have a rare auto-immune disorder that causes me to have bruise-like patches on my back and on my face. Rare, as in, doctors don’t know what to do or how to treat it because not enough people have it. It’s a good time 😉

After following along on instagram, I realized Your Wellness Center offers a non – invasive service that would help with discoloration and rosacea all at once.

I immediately saw this as an opportunity to rid myself these patches that cause well intentioned people to attempt to spit-wipe off what they think is an ink stain.

Besides, at the ripe age of 26, I knew it was probably time I actually started a skin care routine.

So, I decided it was time to make an appointment.

It didn’t take me any time at all to be thoroughly impressed with the entire experience at Your Wellness Center. All the sudden, I saw this sweet bride of mine step into her comfort zone and I saw her in a totally different light. 

It became very clear to me how much of an expert she is in her field. She is a Nurse Practitioner with knowledge and skill set that would put anyone at ease in her chair. I almost felt embarrassed that I didn’t realize how much of a boss she was!

With care and patience, Kaitlyn explained to me the service I was interested in – A broadband light (BBL) treatment that helps with discoloration and rosacea. She explained the downtime, how it would feel, and what the results would be.
