Celebrating Hannah and Elijah’s love at their family estate was a tremendous honor! Both of their families were so incredibly sweet. Every detail of their wedding day was intentional and full of love and appreciation for their guests. They were so welcoming, inclusive, and just all-around incredible. As a Pittsburgh wedding photographer, I’m excited to share more of their private estate wedding on the blog!

Their Love Story

Hannah and Elijah are the type of people you meet and feel like you’ve known for a lifetime! Their love for each other and others is evident in every conversation you have with them and every story they tell.

When I asked them what they love most about each other, Hannah gushed about Elijah’s heart, his laugh, and the love and attention he brings to all things—both big and small. She loves how he’s open-minded, adventurous, and gentle. Elijah had similar raving words about Hannah, of course. Elijah loves how Hannah makes everyone she meets feel so important and loved. His favorite characteristics about her are her bubbly and genuine personality. I am so glad I got to witness these amazing characteristics of the two of them on their wedding day. The two of them together are just a match made in heaven!

Leading up to their wedding day, they were most looking forward to being able to celebrate their love in front of so many loved ones at once… And being done with the planning! Speaking of wedding planning, Em & E Events did a fabulous job designing, planning, and executing this stunning wedding. It was a pleasure to work with Emily and her team!

After the wedding, the couple headed off for a ten-day camping trip on the road back to San Diego from Pittsburgh with their dog, Mac n Cheese. In the future, they plan to continue the celebrations with a honeymoon in Italy next summer.

Their Wedding Ceremony

Hannah and Elijah’s wedding ceremony and reception took place at Elijah’s grandparents’ home near Pittsburgh. The property is also where the groom’s parents were wed 33 years earlier. How special!

Before the ceremony, Hannah got ready with the help of her mother. She wore a breathtaking Monique Lhuillier gown with detachable sleeves and a long statement train. Hannah had a first look with her bridesmaids and sister. Her sister served as both the maid of honor and flower girl, and it was so special to see their bond. Following that, Hannah and Elijah shared an emotional first look of their own! It was such a touching moment.

Guests sat on the lawn and watched as Hannah and Elijah said their vows under the blue and white hydrangea-adorned chuppah. After breaking the glass and sharing a kiss, the couple smiled from ear to ear as they exited the wedding ceremony!

Their Wedding Reception

Following their beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony, the couple and guests headed towards the reception tent. Just outside of the tent, they stopped for the cocktail hour in the garden. Guests enjoyed cocktail hour while we took a few more family photos and portraits.

Heading into the tent, guests were amazed by the gorgeous blue and white centerpieces, romantic candles, and blue and white china table settings. It was the ultimate garden party soirée. After special dances, toasts, and delicious meals, the guests met the couple on the dance floor for a fun night of dancing. It was evident that Hannah and Elijah’s wedding guests were just as down-to-earth and fun as they were!

After the wedding ended, the property turned into the afterparty venue where the couple and their closest friends and family had an epic party until late into the night! It was complete with airbrush tattoos and a friendly match of laser tag. The celebration continued well into the night, and it’s safe to say Hannah and Elijah had the wedding day of their dreams!
