Nate’s knee’s have taken a beating from years and years of basketball. (He even played his way through college at Mount Vernon Nazarene!) So when they went on their traditional birthday shopping and dinner trip, Emily thought nothing of Nate seeking a bench to take a quick rest. What she didn’t realize was that this time, his knee’s were probably more shakey rather than achey. There, he got down on his knee, and asked his high school sweetheart to be his forever.

They planned their September wedding at Cooper Creek. This was my first time shooting at Cooper Creek Event Center, but it has quickly become one of my favorite venues in the Cincinnati Area. It’s has such a clean, and elegant feeling. The oversized windows throughout the space stream gorgeous natural light throughout.

But enough about Cooper Creek for now! Emily and Nate are two of the sweetest people you’d ever want to meet. Their faith is very important to them, and it shows. Their families, the way they handled stress – everything about their wedding day at Cooper Creek dripped with grace. They are exactly the type of people you want to be around.

One of my favorite moments of their wedding day, was their first dance. As you’ll see later, they had their first dance as the sun was setting. Although the evening sky was lit with a beautiful sunset, Nate didn’t even seem to notice. He couldn’t take his eyes off his new bride. You can tell how much he treasures Emily.

Another neat thing about Emily and Nate, is that they have been dating since they were in high school! Not many people can say they married their high school sweet hearts!
