Every single detail of Charlie and Shayna’s wedding had meaning and had been carefully chosen with purpose, and it showed throughout the day. Even down to Charlie’s wedding gift to Shayna, with a note written in French was a nod to Charlie’s time living in France after college.
The Woodward Theater was the perfect venue for Shayna and Charlie’s early June wedding. They both love city living, and can see the venue from their adorable condo. I also just want to add one thought to that. I don’t know what is in the water over that way, but I am shooting a few couples from that complex, and they are ALL awesome.
The ceremony was at Washington Park – another Over-The-Rhine gem, and another nod to their love of city life. They couldn’t have asked for a better day for an outdoor ceremony, either!
Shayna is proudly from Nebraska, but moved to the Cincinnati area for work. Actually, that is how she met Charlie! They both worked at The Office of Admissions for The University of Cincinnati, and there, their friendship developed into romance.
Now, they spend their free time traveling together. As I mentioned, Charlie speaks French, and taught Shayna a bit on their trip their recently. “On y va!” is a French phrase that means “Let’s go!”. It has become Charlie and Shayna’s unofficial motto as they start their new life together as husband and wife.
So with that, On y va to the pictures!
