Middleton Place Wedding | Abby + Kyle

Posted in: Weddings

I worked with Abby and Kyle through the pandemic as they planned and replanned their wedding not once, but twice. From an original date in 2020 to a second date in 2021 to, finally, the day of their dreams in 2022, I’m so thankful to have had the chance to get to know them over the years. Abby is so funny and caring, and she showed her creativity through all of the unique elements of her wedding day. Kyle’s patient, supportive, and adventurous personality pairs so well with Abby’s, and it was such a joy to celebrate them at their Middleton Place wedding.

Abby and Kyle’s wedding ceremony took place at Middleton Place’s Octagonal Garden. It was so sweet that their officiant was a longtime family friend of Abby’s, which made the ceremony incredibly touching. The ceremony concluded with a confetti toss, which was the perfect touch! After the ceremony, the guests were whisked away in horse-drawn carriage rides to the cocktail hour. It was a huge hit among the crowd! The cocktail hour took place under gorgeous Oak trees with sheep grazing in the field nearby. Talk about a European fairytale!

Following the cocktail hour, Abby and Kyle’s reception took place at the Middleton Place Pavilion. The couple really brought the outdoors inside by having whimsical floral arrangements and a cake adorned with chic flower accents. Abby and Kyle’s guests danced the night away with the band under the romantic string lights, and Abby even had a performance as well! To top it all off, guests and the couple enjoyed scoops of delicious gelato brought in straight from Italy during the reception.

Absolutely no detail was left unnoticed, and the entire day felt like a European dream. From the blooming spring flowers in Charleston to their first kiss under the Angel Oak to Abby’s chic outfit change towards the end of the night to the late-night gelato, it was such a sweet day that perfectly captured Abby and Kyle’s personalities. Congratulations and best wishes to Abby and Kyle!
