Meridian Hills Country Club Wedding – Megan Noll Photography

Friends and family agreed that they had never seen Molly cry in her adult life – but all of that changed in some of the sweetest moments of their wedding day at The Meridian Hills Country Club. Many happy tears were shed over a day that was a long time in the making.

When Alex proposed on Molly’s 22nd birthday, they were at Monument Circle in Indianapolis. They planned for their wedding to be at Nippert Stadium in Cincinnati. It was special to them because Alex played football for the Bearcats, and The University of Cincinnati is where they met.

I got to see, first hand, how kind, considerate, and gracious of a couple these two really are, when just months before their wedding, a scheduling conflict occurred, and their wedding got moved from Nippert Stadium in Cincinnati to The Meridian Hills Country Club in Indianapolis. Three years later, on their wedding day, we were able to go back to exact spot on Monument Circle, and take their wedding pictures. Talk about coming full circle!

Really though, Meridian Hills Country Club was the perfect wedding venue for Molly and Alex. Alex’s job in agriculture had them moving around a lot in the three years they have been engaged, including Ohio, Arkansas, Mississippi, and Indiana – but their time in the south really stuck with them. A Meridian Hills Country Club Wedding was the perfect balance of elegance with the southern charm. They even included cotton in their centerpieces!

Because of their travels, their guest list was from all different parts of their life and the country. People traveled from near and far to Meridian Hills Country Club to be apart of Molly + Alex’s big day. A last count, I had heard 16 different states were covered in their guest list!

If you could meet Molly + Alex, the fact that so many people traveled such a long way to be with them on their wedding day, would be no surprise. They are the type of couple who makes you feel so welcome, and loved. In fact, Molly greeted me with a squeal, and a giant hug. Now, I’m going to quit gushing about how much I loved these two, and let the pictures do the talking on how friggin adorable they are!

This made me laugh so much! There was a gorgeous, well lit room that Molly and I had both been eyeing to have her get dressed in! When the time came, there was a senior citizen bingo game about to start. Molly’s maid of honor kindly asked them if we could borrow the room for a minute. Molly got dressed while these sweet older women watched her get dressed. Everyone was such a good sport!

The relationship between this mother daughter duo was undeniable! They mean SO much to each other!


Molly and Alex have two sweet golden retrievers named Leo and Chevy. They are very well behaved, but couldn’t resist going for a swim in the Meridian Hills pond!
