Baby Distractions – Megan Noll Photography

 

It’s early, and I’m at the computer trying to work. But I can’t. I keep keeping distracted by the baby monitor. She sleeps on her belly, knees bent underneath her, pointing that sweet little baby butt straight up in the air.

My heart continues to swell; bigger and more full each day.

I know I have work to get done, and she makes that impossible when she is up, but I just can’t help it. Each rustle I hear, my eyes dart to the baby monitor hoping she is ready to get up and play.

I never thought this would be me. I never really had that motherly instinct that women talk about. I didn’t like dolls, and I HATED babysitting, but motherhood has been so much different than what I thought it would be…I never expected to be so excited to start my day every morning.
