Cincinnati Nature Center Wedding | Ellie + Matt

Ellie sent me a text the day before her wedding telling me not to hesitate to tell them both to “Fix their face” if they looked weird in any of their pictures. So, yeah, I basically love them.

And for the record, no one at this beautiful Cincinnati Nature Center Wedding had to be told to “fix their face”! …I’m still laughing as I type this!

It was her friend that gave Ellie’s number to Matt. Things were off to an awkward start when Matt invited her to his parents house, where Ellie greeted him with a handshake. It didn’t take the two long to warm up to one another though. By their own admission, their relationship has been 100 mph in the fast lane. They fell in love fast, and have never looked back.

Matt knew Ellie had always wanted to go skydiving. In 2016, he made the plans to do it! He had planned to jump first and be on the ground, on bended knee as Ellie floated to the ground. Friends and family were going to have signs that Ellie could see in the air.

But the jump kept getting delayed.

Matt tried to determine how much longer the delay would be, but the staff was unaware as there was too much cloud coverage to make any safe jumps. Matt then asked Ellie if she would rather jump the following weekend as it would be her birthday. Ellie agreed and the two began to walk back to the car.

As they made their way back to the car, there was a stretch limo in the parking lot with all of their closest family and friends holding signs that said “Marry me?” Ellie immediately started crying and slapped Matt’s arm as he said “I can’t wait to marry you.” Hugs were exchanged and champagne popped, but then Ellie’s friends informed her that the fun was not over just yet. Matt had arranged for some of her friends to get her a new dress, heels, makeup, and diamond earrings delivered to the skydiving location for a further surprise. Ellie changed and a party took place in the limo as they arrived at Montgomery Inn. Matt escorted Ellie upstairs to a private party room, where more family and friends were located.

The celebrations have continued ever since!

I have never seen a couple so relaxed on their wedding day! From rolling with the punches of an outdoor ceremony and rain, to turning bits of her dress that got ripped off into a dancing prop – these two were so much fun!
