This was my first time shooting a Fort Mitchell Country Club Wedding and it didn’t disappoint! I am a Northern Kentucky Native, and it was nice discovering a cute venue so close to home!
Maria was actually serving beer at Bunbury to raise money for the cause. The two caught each other’s eye, and ended up in adjoining booths. They quickly began exchanging music opinions, and their thoughts on the bands of the evening.
It wasn’t long after that first meeting that they began dating, although, the date of their “becoming official” is still a debate. Ross will swear they got drinks together at Keystone. Meanwhile, Maria insists their first date was actually a dinner at Arthur’s! This playful banter is just one of the many reasons it’s impossible not to fall in love with these two!
Maria’s style was timeless, and elegant. They were careful to incorporate a southern charm to their day – complete with the tradition of burying a bottle of bourbon to be dug up on the wedding day for good luck! The nickname her bridesmaids gave Maria was “the no bling bride” and it suited her so well!
The old tree’s surrounding the Fort Mitchell Country Club were a perfect match with the greenery and white flowers.
Enjoy!
