Elena and Brandon wanted to do their engagement session in Boston. We ended up setting a location near their current home near the harbor!
After an absolutely gorgeous day leading up to our shoot, a storm unloaded on us at the exact time of our shoot. Luckily, it was short-lived. It gave us an excuse to dip into the nearest restaurant for a quick drink before we got into all of the fun of this Boston engagement session.
To be honest, starting a shoot with a time to chat and relax together is the best thing. It’s a way to ease into pictures and to get better acquainted. It just makes the engagement session more fun for everyone involved!
Through that chat I learned that Brandon had grown up in New York, while Elena had grown up in Cincinnati. When a volleyball scholarship brought her to Bryant University, she planned to leave with a degree, but she also left with her future husband in Brandon.
Brandon planned an intimate proposal in their Boston apartment over Labor Day weekend and Elena was shocked! When they went to dinner at their favorite spot – she found he had flown all of their family and a few friends in from around the country to be there as a surprise! They spent their evening on the Boston Harbor drinking champagne and celebrating their relationship.
