I always laugh that weddings are only getting bigger. Social media has kept us in contact with people that we would have otherwise never kept up with. As a result, it seems like the numbers of wedding guests keep getting bigger and bigger.
Samantha and Charlie knew that wasn’t for them. They wanted only their closest family to be a part of their Alms Park Wedding. They wanted their family to feel included, relaxed and loved. I believe every one of their 50 guests felt that warmness the couple wanted them to feel.
From Charlie’s uncle being the officiant to Charlie’s sister was the only attendant on his side. Samantha’s brother was hers. Samantha’s engagement ring was Charlie’s grandmothers, and they had the diamond’s in her wedding band made from a ring her Great Aunt had gifted her mother. Charlie’s wedding band was his grandfathers wedding ring, complete with his grandparents wedding date etched into the inside of the ring.
An Alms Park Wedding was the perfect backdrop for an intimate wedding. The top of the pavilion was just the right amount of space to serve their guests a family style dinner.
In their engagement session blog, I talked a lot about their story – from how they met to their first date conversations. In it, I chatted about the house they were building! Many of the pictures in the getting ready portion of the day were taken at this stunning home that they’ve created together!
