Alexandra and Yousef had a gorgeous multicultural Cincinnati Ault Park wedding. It was a dreamy fall day that was perfect for the outdoor ceremony and reception. As a Cincinnati wedding photographer, Ault Park is one of my favorite Cincinnati wedding venues. The expansive greenspace and covered pavilion make for a versatile and beautiful wedding venue.

Alexandra and Yousef met and started dating while both in medical school. Alexandra was in school to become a dermatologist, and Yousef was studying to be an anesthesiologist. School and residency separated them physically, but they continued to date long-distance throughout both. Being located in different parts of the country, Alexandra and Yousef grew to love traveling and trying new restaurants and foods.
Yousef proposed to Alexandra in her favorite spot in Miami, the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens. The stunning historical estate on the water made for the perfect engagement backdrop. Alexandra was totally surprised by the proposal, and then she was shocked to learn that Yousef had also planned an engagement party for them on Miami Beach. Around forty of their closest friends and family had flown in from all over the country to surprise Alexandra—even going to the extent of her parents purchasing burner cell phones so she couldn’t track them—and it was a total hit! Alexandra and Yousef had a magical weekend celebrating with their loved ones in Miami.
As their relationship blossomed, they were able to intertwine Yousef’s Arab and Muslim background with Alexandra’s Christian upbringing. They shared how proud they are of the way they’ve seamlessly blended their religions, cultures, and families. They looked forward to their wedding as the culmination of it all!
Alexandra and Yousef were so excited about their wedding day. They told me time and time again how special the day was to them. I love how they embraced my expertise and gave me free rein to capture the day to its fullest.
Alexandra got ready with her bridesmaids. Then her mother and sister helped her into her wedding dress before an emotional first look with her father.
Meanwhile, Yousef’s morning started with a fresh haircut and shave, and then he finished getting ready with his groomsmen.
After, Alexandra and Yousef shared an emotional first look of their own.
The ceremony aisle was lined with beautiful low arrangements with pale pink, light orange, and white flowers. At the end of the aisle was the focal point of the ceremony—a stunning floral arch.
As Alexandra reached Yousef at the end of the aisle, guests were moved by the sweet embrace she and her father shared. The couple said their heartfelt vows as guests watched on, laughing at moments and tearing up at others.
After the ceremony, guests spread out and mingled on the park lawn during the cocktail hour. It was an ideal October day, with absolutely perfect weather for the outdoor festivities.
The garden-themed wedding reception was complete with mauve and white florals with lush greenery throughout the space. I love how the ceiling was draped with string lights and greenery for an extra whimsical touch. The tables incorporated the same floral theme with gold accents and romantic candles.
When it came time for the reception, the guests and couple followed the Dabke Troupe as they made their way towards the dance floor and pavilion. Alexandra and Yousef shared a romantic first dance complete with sparklers and an Arabic dance.
As the sunset, we took a few more couples portraits with the colorful sky over the park.
Once dinner service was complete and the sun had set, Alexandra and Yousef cut their ten-tier wedding cake with an engraved gold sword. Their guests were in awe, and it made a true impact on the night! Guests soon took over the dance floor and enjoyed the rest of the night dancing under the stars.
Alexandra and Yousef were so kind, and I could see the love they have for each other in every interaction. I was overjoyed to capture their Cincinnati Ault Park wedding! Seeing their joy and the love from both of their families was an honor to witness.
