Newborn photography with twins is double the excitement of a regular newborn session! With not one but two snuggly newborns, I had a great time getting a glimpse into Krishna and Adam’s new life as proud parents. 

When Krishna and Adam invited me to capture newborn photos of their precious twins, I was over the moon with excitement. Having captured their Maui destination wedding at Olowalu Plantation House, I was thrilled to see them again in their new phase of life. 

Tips for Newborn Photography with Twins

When planning a newborn session with twins, be sure to allocate more time than you think you will need for the session. With two littles to photograph, the session will last longer than it would with just one. It’s important that we have time for photos with individual babies and the babies together. But have no fear, I’ll handle the timing and planning of the newborn session! 

Next, don’t be afraid to dress your twins in different outfits! While many assume twins would be in matching outfits for a newborn session, they don’t have to be. Rather than matching, you can choose to have your twins in coordinating outfits instead. I love guiding families as they plan session outfits and am always happy to help with attire selections.

My top tip for parents preparing for newborn photography of their twins? Don’t stress the small stuff! Like any other parents of newborns, you will be sleep-deprived and learning as you go, especially if it is your first time as parents. So, don’t stress trying to make every little thing perfect, and know that your images will reflect you all as the unique family that you are.
