I saw a quote the other day that went something like this:
I don’t know where I heard it. I don’t know why it stuck with me, but since reading it, I’ve been catching myself saying a shortened version over and over.
“You can do hard things”
Maybe it’s because 2016 was not an easy year on anyone. From a nasty election, to rising tensions in the world, it seems no one made it out unscathed.
For me personally, this year has been filled with growth. When I say growth, I don’t mean I-blossomed-into-a-perfect-person type of growth. I mean gritty, raw growth. The kind that makes you cry at night because you don’t feel like you are adapting the way you should.
I can keep a baby alive. I can run a business while keeping said baby alive. I can cope with my parents getting divorced. I can battle anxiety and depression. I can travel.
Looking forward to 2017, I have goals that seem impossible….But I can do hard things.
So friends – I want to hear from you. Comment below with the hard things YOU want to tackle in 2017.

Work! I’ve been slacking for the past year and it’s definitely showed in my pay check! I need to refocus, set new goals, and commit to doing what it’s going to take even if I don’t want to that day!
I like this. I think we all need mantras like this. There is an onlne study called “I do hard things” by Havilah Cunnington you would maybe enjoy 🙂 Thanks for keepin’ it real.
