It’s so rare that you find a couple that appreciates the small details, and yet, doesn’t stress over them. Courtney and Derek were thoughtful and detail-oriented in planning their Dock 580 wedding, but on the wedding day, they set their sights on marrying their “match”. It was so fun to be around such a relaxed and easy going couple.
As you might remember from Courtney + Derek’s Dayton engagement session, they met in high school. According to Derek’s best man, Courtney was the cool senior that all the freshman guys had crushes on – including Derek. In his vows at Dock 580, Derek spoke about how everyone remembers their first crush, and how lucky he is to have married his.
On September 16th, surrounded by only their closest family and friends at Dock 580 in Columbus, Ohio, Courtney and Derek shared some of the most heartfelt vows to seal forever together.
Thank you so much for letting me be apart of such a memorable day. I wish you both many happy years of movie quoting, animal-loving bliss! 🙂
Courtney bit her lip as she walked down the aisle, fighting back tears. I heard her whisper to her mom, “I’m not going to cry. I’m not going to do it.” Through the happy tears welling in her eyes, she began beaming at Derek at the other end of the aisle.
A big thank you to all of the amazing vendors that helped make Courtney + Derek’s wedding at Dock 580 such a gorgeous day!
