Their stories have weaved in and out of each other’s since kindergarten. Kendal even said she has a picture of her at her kindergarten graduation where Kelcey is right next to her. They got sat together anytime things were in alphabetical order because their last names are so close. Kendall moved away though, leaving the school that she had attended with Kelcey in Southern Indiana. Fate wasn’t about to let their story end there though. As luck would have it, Kelcey ended up joining her at a new school when they were in the seventh grade.
It wasn’t until their senior year when they began really connecting. A mutual love of video games served as the topic for many of their earliest conversations. Kelcey laughs that she was the only one who would talk to him about them! From those conversations, their relationship began to develop. They realized how many shared interests they have – from four wheeling, to trips to the country with their family. They have been together ever since, and if you spend any time around them, you can see why. These high school sweet hearts are clearly meant to be.
Kelcey shocked Kendal with his proposal at Huber’s Winery. Kendal laughs that he brought her two favorite things together in the proposal: Kelcey, and wine. Kelcey took her to a Hubers Winery for her birthday celebration, where they did a wine tasting. There was a pond, and Kendal asked to take a picture together because of how perfect it looked. When she got to the dock, there were two hand painted wine glasses. Her’s, with her new monogram in Tiffany blue. He remembered that she had always dreamed about having her wedding colors involve Tiffany Blue. It was there that he asked her to marry him. But the thoughtfulness doesn’t stop there! Her engagement ring was made from his great grandmothers wedding ring!
Now, they have three cats, and are constantly looking for live music to go enjoy together, and are planning their wedding for May!
