When Samantha’s friend Katlyn told her she wanted to introduce her to one of her (now) husband’s friends, she was probably understandably skeptical. Katlyn and Clint had great instincts when they decided to set up Charlie and Samantha on a date! They all agreed to met up at an outdoor bar in OTR called Neon’s where the two hit it off quickly. That introduction was followed it up shortly thereafter with a dinner date between Charlie and Samantha at A Tavola! That dinner turned into a four hour conversation over good food, and they have been inseparable since! Friends really do know best!
On that date, they didn’t talk about the small things. Charlie lead in early with a deep question about the purpose of her life, to which Samantha replied “It’s to be happy”. Being around these two for any length of time, it is so obvious that they strive to make each other happy, to make the people around them feel loved and appreciated, and that being happy is more than just a word to throw around. They are passionate about people, and about positivity.
They moved into their first place there, and are in the process of building their dream house in the neighborhood as well. They walk their sweet pup past the “painted ladies” often. I love that they chose to have their engagement pictures in Columbia Tusculum – the place where their lives have started together!
Their wedding will fall in line with their Columbia Tusculum nod – a gorgeous ceremony at Alm’s Park, followed later by a reception to take place in their newly constructed house in the iconic neighborhood.
They even brought their sweet rescue pup Hank, to the session!
