Anniversary sessions are my favorite! I think they are one of the most underrated types of sessions, and that makes me sad!

Anniversary sessions are a unique way to document the growth, development, and maturity that couples experience through and in their marriage. They are a way to remind the world that, unlike a wedding day, the marriage that follows is lasting.

My parents, in the midst of this session, admitted to me that this was the first time in 25 years that they had pictures of themselves taken. When I think about their wedding pictures, I picture a big dress, big hair, in a big church (sorry Mom! But only you could make 80’s fashion look good 😉 ). While I treasure those pictures, that isn’t the mom that I grew up with. These pictures, 25 years later, are the parents that I know.
